Pilot Testing of the ALIAS AR App Successfully Completed

We’re happy to share that the pilot testing of the ALIAS Augmented Reality (AR) application took place from 14 to 16 October 2025 with great success!

During these three days, nursing students and educators from our partner institutions had the chance to explore and test the new AR learning tool developed within the ALIAS project. The pilot sessions focused on how the app can support learning, engagement, and confidence in intensive care training through immersive, hands-on experiences.

Participants were guided through realistic clinical scenarios designed to simulate the intensive care environment, allowing them to practice decision-making, critical thinking, and teamwork in a safe, controlled setting. Their feedback provided valuable insights into the usability, effectiveness, and overall learning experience offered by the AR tool.

The event also served as an important opportunity for collaboration between academic staff, project partners, and students, highlighting the shared commitment to integrating emerging technologies into health and nursing education.

We would like to thank all the participants and contributors who made this pilot testing possible and successful.
