1st Transnational Project Meeting
On February 7th, 2024, the 1st TPM took place virtually the kick off meeting where a detailed presentation about the ongoing Project was held, organized by UNIWA. Dr. Dimitrios Papageorgiou introduced the key presenters, Dr. Areti Stavropoulou and Mr. Konstantinos Evgenikos, who provided an extensive overview of the Project's objectives, work packages, activities, and tasks. The presentation clearly outlined each participant's role in the Project, the nature of the deliverables, key milestones, and the established timetable. The session also covered the development and testing of a new Augmented Reality (AR) application aimed at enhancing the clinical training of nursing students in critical care environments. Dr. Troussas, representing the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering at UNIWA, explained the stages of the developmental process and demonstrated the technical aspects of the work. He concluded his presentation by addressing all queries, ensuring that the tasks and responsibilities of each participating organization were well understood.
In the subsequent discussions, participants, including representatives from UNIWA, UNIPR, MCP, and UCD, were invited to share their thoughts on the IT-related aspects of the Project and to seek further clarification regarding the work packages. The group reached a unanimous consensus on the work packages, task allocations, activities, and the overall Project timeline.
During the meeting, the participants also focused on several specific aspects of the Project:
- Project Logos and Domain: UNIWA presented several proposed logos, and the participants agreed on the preferred design. Additionally, they were informed that the domain name "alias-project.eu" had been secured for the Project's website. Plans for the website's future construction were also discussed.
- Structured Communication: The team agreed to hold regular virtual meetings to review progress, exchange updates, and address any emerging issues. To facilitate structured communication and collaboration, it was decided to create a dedicated online platform. This platform will serve as a central hub for sharing documents, monitoring progress and milestones, and coordinating activities.
To ensure the effectiveness of task execution, the participants committed to maintaining regular communication and coordination. Each partner is responsible for providing updates on their progress and reporting any challenges encountered. This collaborative approach will help to address issues promptly and contribute to the overall success of the Project.
